About
Founder & Principal — Métis
Washington, D.C.
Andrew is a startup operator with two decades of experience launching, scaling, and advising ventures from first concept through commercialization. He has served as Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Growth Officer, COO, VP of Business Development, as a senior Marketing Executive, and as an Advisory Board Member across high-growth companies spanning fintech, govtech, healthtech, cybersecurity, identity, and eCommerce. Throughout his career he has built and managed high-performing teams, scaled platforms to millions in monthly revenue, and forged brand partnerships with global names including Adidas, Kraft, TaylorMade, Chrysler, Under Armour, Pepsi, and Ford.
His approach blends the strategic rigor of a finance-trained MBA with the instincts of someone who has lived inside the operational trenches of early-stage companies. Before founding Métis, Andrew held leadership roles at ID.me, fTLD (.BANK), Intellectual Technology, and GeniusRocket, and currently holds fractional leadership roles as Chief Strategy Officer at Fynancr and Chief Strategy & Growth Officer at Pikkah.
How we think
"The owl of Minerva spreads its wings only with the falling of the dusk."— Hegel
The owl doesn't fly at dawn. It flies at dusk, after experience has revealed what theory alone never could. Our strategic clarity comes from the pattern recognition earned over decades of building startups, living through enough complexity to finally see what others miss.
We don't advise from the outside. We embed, learning how your company actually operates, how your teams communicate, where decisions get made and where they get stuck. Only after we understand the rhythm of your business do we start to shape what comes next.
Greek: unconcealedness
For organizations where growth has created distance between leadership and the front lines, we developed Aletheia, a structured process for surfacing the intelligence that already lives inside your company. Through targeted questionnaires and guided conversations with the people closest to your customers and operations, Aletheia uncovers the friction points, missed opportunities, and unspoken insights that no outside consultant could find on their own. The revealing of what was hidden in plain sight.
What we do
Every engagement is tailored. Below are the arenas where our perspective tends to matter most.
When the patterns that built the organization are now the ones holding it back.
For organizations where growth has created distance between leadership and clients, strategy and execution, intention and outcome. Decisions get made by people insulated from the front lines, and proven playbooks keep running on momentum long after they've stopped serving the mission.
We bring the lean, agile toolkit of a startup operator inside your organization, making sound decisions with imperfect information, running scenario logic that maps second and third-order consequences before others see the problem, and building the capacity to pivot before momentum becomes a liability.
Structure that scales with you, not against you.
Your first hires were made for survival, not strategy. Roles have blurred, accountability is assumed rather than assigned, and communication that worked at five people is breaking down at fifteen. You're spending more time managing confusion than building the company.
We design the organizational architecture — roles, workflows, communication structures — that lets your team grow without losing the speed and trust that got you here.
From first dollar to repeatable revenue.
You're closing deals but don't have a sales motion that someone else could run. Your pricing was set reactively and doesn't hold up to scrutiny. Customer acquisition feels more like luck than a system. You're not sure which channels are actually working or why.
We build the revenue engine: go-to-market strategy, pricing model, acquisition channels, and the unit economics that make the whole thing defensible.
Make the right people feel like you're talking directly to them.
You know what your product does but struggle to explain why it matters to the people who need it most. Your messaging is feature-heavy and founder-voiced rather than customer-facing. You're present in channels but not building real presence. Marketing feels like a cost center instead of a growth driver.
We develop the positioning, messaging, and channel strategy that turns your brand into a point of view. One that attracts the right customers, partners, and talent before you even get in the room.
Relationships that create leverage, not just goodwill.
You have promising conversations that never convert into agreements. You've signed deals that looked good on paper but didn't generate revenue. BD feels like a long game with no scoreboard. You're not sure how to structure partnerships that work for both sides or how to manage them once they're in place.
We build your partnership strategy from the ground up: identifying the right targets, structuring deals that create mutual value, and building the systems that turn one-off relationships into a real channel.
Someone in your corner who's not on your cap table.
You're making decisions that will define the company, and you're making them largely alone. Your board has opinions but not full context. Your team looks to you for confidence you don't always feel. You need someone who can hear the full picture, ask the hard questions, and help you think through what you're not saying out loud.
We serve as a trusted advisor to founders and senior leaders navigating inflection points: fundraising conversations, board dynamics, organizational tension, and the decisions that don't fit neatly into any other category. This is the work that happens before the deck gets built.
Aletheia
From diagnosis through activation, Aletheia surfaces the intelligence that lives inside your teams, and turns it into lasting change.
Targeted questionnaires that surface what leadership can't see from the top.
Ten department-specific questionnaires — Leadership, Sales, BizDev, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Operations, Finance, and People Operations — each calibrated to surface the friction points, misalignments, and untapped opportunities unique to that function. No generic surveys. Every question is designed to reveal what people know but haven't been asked.
The diagnosis phase produces raw organizational intelligence. The foundation everything else is built on.
Turning raw responses into patterns that tell a story.
A structured methodology for analyzing questionnaire data and conducting follow-up interviews. We identify cross-functional themes, departmental blind spots, and the disconnects between how leadership sees the organization and how the organization experiences itself. The analysis culminates in a findings report that names what's actually happening, not what anyone assumed was happening.
Our Execution & Analysis Guide provides the complete playbook for turning questionnaire responses into actionable organizational insight.
Findings don't change organizations. Committed action does.
A 90-day activation framework that turns Aletheia findings into lasting organizational change. Executive alignment, department champions, weekly sprints, ten facilitator-led workshops, blocker resolution protocols, and a clear graduation path, all designed to prevent the most common failure mode in consulting: the report that gets shelved.
The Activation Playbook ensures that what Aletheia reveals doesn't just get acknowledged. It gets acted on.
The same rigor, calibrated for teams still finding their footing.
Seven adapted questionnaires for seed-stage companies where roles overlap and formal departments don't yet exist. Founder, Sales & BizDev, Marketing, Product & Engineering, Customer Experience, Operations & Finance, and People & Hiring, designed to surface the structural cracks that appear when a company begins to outgrow its founding team.
Early-stage companies rarely get diagnostic tools built for their reality. This is that tool.
